What if my family started off with a male, but my Sims keep having females? What's the next step? Btw I love the challenge and started it recently.
This is only an issue if you chose to go with a Patriarchy (where only the males in the family can become heirs). If you didn't choose to do that, then you can have females inherit. If you did go with a Patriarchy then you will need to keep having your Sims have babies until they have a boy. I chose to go with a Matriarchy (only girls inherit) on my Sims 2 Legacy and it's driving me insane. SO MANY BOYS ahhhhh!
Also, there is no penalty in the Sims 3 Legacy Challenge for stopping a Patriarchy/Matriarchy. There is one in the Sims 2, but not 3. So if you don't feel like having your Sims breed like rabbits, then you can just choose a girl as an heir.
Would it be considered cheating to use the "fruit method"? If sim eats 3 watermelons while pregnant baby will be a girl; if sim eats 3 apples during pregnancy baby will be a boy.
