399 The Watcher Watches: Max & Faelie ~~ Continued: Shenanigans at the Festival . ~~





Faelie and Max get off work and come to have some fun down time. Faelie hopes no one will need a doctor here, while she's in her off hours! She has seen that happen to some of her doctor friends.
She waits for Max, and watches her friends Leif and Jovan, thinking what nice guys they are.

"Have you seen my Cherish here, Jovan? We were supposed to meet up hours ago." says Leif.
Jovan says, "Yes, I saw her over at the beach towels, and now she is having a snow cone. Don't you see her there?"
"No, for some reason I can't walk to that side of the park, or even see over there. I guess I suddenly need glasses." says Leif.

"That's really odd, Leif. But odd things can happen. Once I ate a hamburger, and suddenly I had to stay locked in my house all day and had to miss work. Strange stuff!" says Jovan.
"Tell him the rest, Jovan." thinks Rico, referring to what his cheating girlfriend had done, on the day he was locked inside...
"Gee! Was it a spell? How long did it last?" asks Leif.
" I seemed to be back to normal the next day, and went to work, but then I got the betrayed moodlet... I used to have a bumpy relationship back then." explains Jovan. "Whatcha gonna do?" he shrugs and smiles. ''Life isn't all rose petals, sometimes there are thorns..''

"Excuse us Jovan." says Cherish striding up, a bit angry.
"Leif Trigg! Where have you been? I told you hours ago to come meet me here for romance!"

''That makes no sense! Then How did you know where I was if you couldn't see me?!"

Cherish is now amused again. Kissing Leif is so fantastic, he is such a good lover.
But Cherish still takes special cruel delight in keeping him off balanced, with her flirty thoughts of other men, and her hot/cold treatment of Leif, and her crazy demands for romance after scolding him. ? Poor Leif, in love with such a bizarre person!

"Come along, Leif." she says, her face growing stern again. Cherish starts walking quickly, Leif is totally bewitched by her, and follows, like a love sick puppy. He has never known anyone like Cherish Pendragon.

Leif faintly hears the sound of tinkling glass as he crosses the barrier that kept him out just moments ago...

"It's blocked, dear."
"Yeah they both are blocked, they were working fine a moment ago, then we heard a sound of glass breaking, then the time machines stopped working." says Marcus, validating Leif's statement and saluting him.

Cherish changes her commanding voice to one of sweetness, "Perhaps you'd like to kiss me some more, and maybe choose a different place for romance..." her words sound like honey to Leif's ears, and he gladly takes her in his arms.
Leif checks to see if his kiss was 'Cherish Worthy', ah he sees he has done it again, by the look on her face, and her swoony posture, her knees nearly buckling.
But in the next instant, her face is like ice again!?

Leif hurries to find a much better, more comfortable place. And romances the heck out of the crazy witch, making her hair stand on end, before it falls back down in gentle waves about her shoulders.

"I feel unwell, feverish. I'm too hot and my throat is parched." says poor Leif, going for a snow cone. He feels dazed, and confused.

"Maxfield, I require a baby with you, so that I can have a genius baby. Leif is sterile." she lies.
"What's this? I don't think so!" says Max wondering what she is up to. ''Besides, Leif's timeline shows he has several children, so this makes no sense, Cherish.''

"Well I intend to have a baby with you, by any means! So you need to do something! I don't know, create a lab baby for me, and do some gene splicing using your genius trait...." She stops her commands seeing Max's increasing ire. "Listen Max I need a genius witch baby!" she hurriedly finishes.

Luckily, Faelie didn't hear any of that, but she had been looking over and saw how upset Max was. She hurries over to his side.
"Maxie, you look upset love. Is there anything I can do?" Faelie's gentleness seems to calm him. He is moved by her sweetness, and how she tries to cheer him up.
Cherish regards all this closely, too closely, like a nutcake.

They go on to do other fun things, like a visit to the future! After the visit, poor Quig gets dumped out the door, and lands hard! "Ooof!"

Cherish approaches Rico. Rico steels himself for a chat with the angry witch, after seeing her get yelled at by Max.
"Max just had no right to get so angry at me, Rico" she whines.
"Uhh well maybe it wouldn't hurt to be a bit more mindful of your choice of words. And not only to Max but to others, like Leif...you know use kinder words, and a softer tone." suggests Rico.
Cherish thinks that doesn't sound so difficult. She will try it.

As late afternoon comes around, Faelie & Max take a much needed nap in the beautiful surroundings. The birds are tweeting in the trees and a gentle breeze cools the hot air.
It seems things are back to normal in the town, for awhile at least...
