54 The Watcher Watches: The Families The title always makes me laugh, remembering Peter Sellers, in the movie 'Being There', say to Shirley MacLaine "I like to watch" ! :D Well I must admit I Do like watching my sims, just to see what they do! I usually only direct them to help fulfill wishes, although sometimes I admit to doing this creatively! hahaSo my family, how did it begin? Starting in Moonlight Falls with Dante, Violet, and Argus, it was plain so see that Violet and Argus were getting to be an item. Dante was best friends with Belinda Crumplebottom, and they decided to move in together to my favorite house. (actually, the only house I like here!)Belinda wanted a child with Dante, and it pained him to let her down as he felt he was too young, and he wanted a more traditional family when he matured. He loved Belinda as friend, and even though she was so kind and lovely personality, she was not 'the One' for him.Belinda was swept off her feet by Don Lothario, they fell in love and married. When ever he would scare her she would retaliate by casting a spell on him! :D They enjoyed each other immensely! Their marriage was loving and solid, and then Dante wanted a child.Tulip always dreamed of babies, but would never get the wish for it. The Watcher (me) became convinced she was worried that Dante might bite the baby! :o One day as they were on a date, Dante started spamming me with wishes to turn Tulip! Even though I usually fulfill wishes, I kept clicking his wishes off. He Spammed me 7 times in half an hour! He wanted desperately to turn her! mmm maybe Dante knows something the Watcher does not! I decided to let him fulfill this wish! I wanted to know! For Science! "Are you sure, my love?" He has traveled the world's beautiful beaches, had all sorts of jobs, Cook, Maid, Pool Boy, Guidance Councilor at the high school, and private schools. His name was a joke nick name from his first employer, when he had his part time job as Pool Boy, and the name stuck! He laughs about it! He is good humored. Louise & Oscar met him at University, he played bongo drums at the bonfires. He has always been too busy working, studying or catching the waves, so he's never actually dated or had a girlfriend before. He's a bit shy around girls, but the girls that love shy, nice looking men, would grab him all the time, especially when he worked as a pool boy. But it was very hard for this little tyke to handle the mixed feelings of thrill and guilt! When Ace got up from his nap, Tana couldn't wait to talk with him! Doing what has always interested you!!! I can't tell you how happy that makes me! My husband and I also got to live our dreams, me with new mom's and babies and his in Research & Devlopement in the Laser field. exciting fun times! I think it is more fun actually doing hands on work than being someones boss! Yuk! LOL But of course you are right, there is always going to be the mundane tasks, and annoying people (as well as good friends) to work with. But that is how life is, always giving us the vast compairsons of the good and the bad so we can be able to really appreciate the Good! ;)

It was a fun coincidence that the next part shows more of that sauna. It was already played and written.

Oh my active family is the one I am writing about at the moment. I did make the switch to Cabana, just for the move and the wedding. Then right back to Dante's family. @DivaDoodle Oh, you just made the sauna sound even more desirable. Well, maybe I will get the Sunlit Tides... later.. if I ever should feel I need a tropical island and am to lazy to make it myself. ;) It sounds like something I will use for a vacation destination for my sims...

Oh, hmm, well I don't really rebel to much against my boss. I mean, when it comes to my job, that is one I chose entirely myself.. so why would I rebel against that? What I work with is something that has fascinated me greatly since I was a little boy... however, of course, there is still a lot of mundane and routine tasks to be performed, but that's how it is to have a job.. and like everyone else, I am dependant on my monthly paycheck... and I can't freelance doing what I do, I think.. so I'm stuck with it, until I can find something more interesting that I want to do..

That being said, I do challenge my boss on occasion, but mostly there isn't to much point in it. My boss isn't that far above me at my local office, most of the time he is also an ally. There are bigger fish above us again.. and some of them may sometimes need to be challenged a little more.. but at the end of the day, we all works towards the same goal, so while I do believe in challenging everything ( ;) ), for there to be any point in rebellion, it needs a cause, and the cause needs to be good, I think. And of course, its easy to claim to be rebellious when you live in a safe country with a not to corrupt governement etc.... so yeah, but I still like the idea of causing a little stir. ;)

Hmm, I don't know why the Bonehilda is so weird in your game. Only problem I had with the Bonehilda was when I tried to edit ones outfit in CAS. Afterwards she got a skin, but it was pitch pitch black, and then the game crashed... Never had one in a household with toddlers, but thanks for the warning!

@Sprottenham hahaha Well I wouldn't actually mind the vampire looking pale, but the game tries to make them look dusky grey. :o that is something that Aliens might look like! LOL

Oh that is how I have come to think of certain store items, too, like the popcorn machine and cotton candy machine I wanted so bad but when I got them the incessant whirring sound they make drives me mad, so I don't use them. The sauna I do love, they can steam veggies, take a steam together, a mud bath, a rehabilitating hydro therapy and they can woo in the steam bath too. It helps with their energy levels which is always nice! So I do like that one. I bought all of Sunlit tides instead of getting another normal EP because I just Knew I would love it in a tropical paradise setting, and I read too many negatives on I. Paradisio. It is actually my Favorite world! I just love all the island looking sims with Hawaiian sounding names! And it is the world with the many outside lounging beds, just like when we go on vacation to the tropics! hahahaaa But there are drawbacks to not having all EP's, I can't choose most all player based worlds because of my lack in having the required EP's!

Yes, unfortunately the Bonehilda tansformed into that lady with skin right before my eyes. I don't know why I have such a problem with her. Most people find her just fine as long as no babies/toddlers are in the house. I'm so jealous!

Ah Ace wants to be with what he considers his real parents, Dante and Tulip, who have always lavished love on him. Plus he really likes living with Tana, whom he has always felt very close to, since they were little kids, way back in the beginning of the town.

Sorry for the confusion, Dante hypnotized to understand Cabana's true feelings, it's like a mind reading.

Oh yes the problem was my lack of Saving during the party. so when my game crashed to desktop, while watching that cute sweet Joy playing in the sprinklers, I had to write it all as a dream, because teen parties, as much as I love them, are too exhausting for even me to try to see what is going on with everyone there, if done twice!!! :D I might do it if it involved teens in my active family, though! ;)

Aha, ok, interesting a custom skin can work that way, to display differently in game. I was just wondering about the vampires. I agree that the pale skin is not pretty, though I don't mind vampires looking like that I suppose, because they are, well, vampires. Then again, I haven't really played with vampires yet. For a completely supernatural world, vampires with different skin wouldn't bother me, and for any other world.. there probably wouldn't be actual vampires... if you got pale skin like that, you are probably sick and dying and should get to the hospital immediately! :P

It would make sense if the parent playing with the toddler helps the toddler learn faster, I think it should. :P

That sauna looks nice... I have always wanted my sims to have a sauna available... but it looks like I need to buy the entire world of Sunlit Tides to get one. I am reluctant to register to buy store items, because I know that these things are only designed to make us spend money..

Hehe, the rebellious Tana is to cute. She doesn't want to get arrested, well, you either have to be sneaky, or do what your dad says, to not break any laws. ;) I think a bit of rebellion is a good thing.. authority always needs to be challenged and questioned! Oh, I didn't know the Bonehilda could be that bad... hmm, so far I haven't had any problems with the bonehilda, but there is still only one sim for me that has one, because mostly I think sims having the Bonehilda makes no sense. It is not for ordinary sims, only the most special ones. :P

Lets hope this Bonehilda is nice, and doesn't run away to call up married men...

Hah! A sunbathing Bonehilda.. how can you sunbathe if you have no skin? Did she just transform into a woman with skin? :P

Hmm, maybe it is best to not have one if the Bonehilda is going to do weird things..? But that's very telling of the game and its programming if things can glitch up like that... shame on you, Electronic Arts...

"Well I don't know which gender you prefer, Bjorn, all I could find out is that girls sure like You!" says Dot. Bjorn decides he doesn't much like being hypnotized, but does think girls are very attractive, come to think of it.

Dante and Ace are playing catch. "Dante, I don't want to move. I want to stay here and live with you all." says Ace.
Dante knows that Ace has always been closer to him than his own parents. It had been a tricky start to his life, with a town reset, and having to move his parents out and then back in again in edit town, they needed a hard reset. But Because of that, Dante and Ace have always been extremely close, like father and son.
"You know you are always welcome here, Ace. We all love you so very much. But you need to ask your Dad if it's ok, that you stay.''
"I , uh , Oh! woops!'' Ace fumbles the ball, ''That seems like a very difficult and touchy question to ask my Dad!''
"But that's only fair to your Dad, right?" says Dante.
