You've been crystal clear thank you very much ! let's stop "necroposting" I am going to try all that first and then I will look into the mods as it looks a bit complicated to me to install them (I am not very good with computers and stuff, they don't like me these sweet machines).
Thanks again to all of you and to this forum ! See ya on other threads ;)
Most mods go in the "mods" folder.
Here is help:
http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help%3AInstalling_Sims_3_Package_Files%2FSetup_and_Files- iAMcianeSeasoned Newcomer@whyOwhyO - My game share file is NOT a mod. It's just the file that has every change I made to a brand new IP game. So, the houseboats were mostly all deleted after moving the sims into houses on land and the challenging homes were edited to avoid routing issues. Ports that were problem areas were altered too. It was just my way of keeping simmers from having to make all the changes themselves. But I documented everything. So if you'd rather make just the changes you want, you can do that too. Obviously, you could also save just the lots you want from my game save to the bin and place them in a fresh IP world game.
My game share isn't a world either. It's just a game save, so it goes into the saves folder and shows where your other game saves show - NOT an option in worlds.
Good luck! - Hello everyone, please remember that necroposting is against the rules. I've gone ahead and closed the thread.

~EA_Joz - Is this a digital download thing only? I play using hard disks on patch 1.67 and haven't seen the message.
- When I let Origin update as I haven't in forever, I noticed it automatically lined up updating Sims 4 and then updating to the 1.69 patch. I cancelled that action but I'm wondering if doing anything through Origin will trigger it again? I have automatic updates unticked on the launcher.
- IreneSwiftSeasoned NewcomerSome time ago, I opened Origin on my laptop. I have automatic updates unchecked. But after it updated Origin, it started updating my Sims 3 game, without asking permission. I was watching, though, so I canceled it.
- I like the option of not playing with all EPs, but I really hated that warning message. >:) I have a game where I only want IP, a couple games where I only play Pets, Seasons, and Supernatural. The rest I play with all my EPs and have never had a problem. Never understood that warning.

So is it trying to tell some simmers "Hey, your PC, laptop, toaster really can't run all these EP/SP's without exploding so you better pick just some of them?". How does it know? And I wonder if everyone gets that message or just some? (I've never had a problem running any of the Sims, I always buy my PC's with the games in mind).
Everyone on Patch 1.69 gets that message and the offer to never show it again. The game isn't at all selective about it.
Thanks for the explanation (I thought it might be smarter,lol!)- It is only to cover there backs. If someone calls up EA or threatens to sue them (idk why they would) they can't say they didn't warn you that it may start to lag and get buggy with more expansions.
Take play doh for example. A massive company worth bilions. It says on the play doh container warning: do not eat, not sutable for under 3's for example. The fact is you can consume play doh (not loads) but if you accidentally did, it wouldn't have any long-lasting effects, but incase somebody tried to sue play doh for being toxic, they can't because it said not to consume. - I almost ended up with the 1.69 patch as my PC had to do an automatic restart. And even though I had unchecked the automatic updating on Origin so that I wouldn't get any type of updates without me approving them, the 1.69 update started to download all by itself.
