What do you feed your sims?

I do a mixture of highest quality meals and the sims favorite food. I always make at least one or two of my sims have a high enough cooking skill that they can make excellent-perfect quality meals. Then I have that sim prepare the favorite meal of at least one of the sims eating for each mealtime.

Sometimes I just have them prepare fancy meals so I can gush over the meals. Yep, I live in a household of foodies

My sims have a garden but it's not big enough to feed everyone. So for now I send one sim once a week to shop for groceries and buy a variety of meals so there's something for everyone. Sounds just like real life huh :lol:

I'm currently doing a play test of a new world and have decided to be more challenging with the sims diet, they can enjoy the luxury of the food that comes with the fridge (not sure if this is part of a mod or not), but outside of that they can only eat what they can prepare from the produce harvest off of the farm. So if they want a delicious new recipe but lack an ingredient that's too bad for them, hope they find it next time! I'm building up the grocery store at the moment so they can buy meat, but I think I'll stick to them harvesting their own produce.

Other then that, I tend to just have my sims make whatever sounds most tasty at the time.

I often have them eat quick meals at community lots as new arrivals until they've gotten their house built and gotten it furnished before graduating to salads and eventually anything they can cook once they have the skills for it.They also often eat leftovers though they're not always quick enough in eating them up before it begins to go bad and end up eating spoiled food quite often.
I've got the canning station and the overhaul Mod so they can also make canned preserves of leftover food and store it long term.They usually do that near the end of summer and over the fall season so they're prepared for winter and prepared for supplies coming in late because of a longer winter than usual.

They're adults they can feed themselves. And it depends on the sim but that tends to be an alarming amount of microwaved hot dogs. A lot. So many hot dogs. My dear Alex just can't cook so that's all he can handle... and even that is questionable. I probably should take over the family's meals.

When doing a story they just get cheated up to full, I don’t have time to sit and watch them eat when I need to get screenshots. If I’m playing for fun they are usually on high free will and can fend for themselves, though I do send them to the Bistro and Diner quite a bit. :smiley:

I always have one designated cook in the house. They slowly build skill overtime without the help of the TV, tablet, skill class, or skill book unless it's their career. So, food usually varies in quality. Their job is to keep the fridge stocked with leftovers. If a sim is already out running errands with a low hunger bar, then they get to eat out. If no leftovers are in the fridge, somebody calls for pizza.

A mix of everything, mostly self-cooked, but I don't really care about the quality, unless it spoiled or burnt (I let them throw that away) mostly just what has all the ingredients, as they simply can't make it otherwise...And what fits the time of the day. I actually care about that.

Fires and no stove required in the beginning when they have no money is why I feed my main sim her favorite meal of autumn salad. :)

I use food synthesizers from ITF. I don't want to bother with preparing meals, and since meals from the synthesizer do not spoil it is a plus. And also they happen to spawn their own waiter when they are put on community lots, which is rather nice :)
