The boys got themselves off to school earlier than yesterday. Bertram was only five minutes late, but Avery wished for a longer stride. He was half an hour late.
Rebeca cooked waffles for breakfast and improved her cooking skills.

After Bertram finished his class, he spotted Malika going into the city hall. He waited for her in the lobby and greeted her. The first thing she did was flirt with him.

They chatted for a while and Bertram learned that she is five days younger than him and does investigative work in her spare time.
Bertram decided to flirt back and she was into it.

Heathcliff Baker has passed on. Becky Baker inherited his entire estate of §28,942 after the sale of his home and possessions.

Johnny Amethyst was able to clear up his debt.
Pablo, Jennifer, Adriane, Rochelle, and their dog Joy moved into The Quarterround just inside the walls of Praaven.
~texansky~ I checked out their new home and it is suitable for the family for the foreseeable future. It is a two bedroom, two bathroom home. The main bedroom on the second floor has a double bed, while the children's bedroom on the third floor has two twin beds and a crib. All I had to do was add a food bowl for Joy.
Holden Wozny has been talking to a neighbor about his writing.

Bertram and Malika finally finished their homework at 1:20 and Bertram headed for home. They are going to be dead tired in the morning. Good thing it's Saturday and they can sleep in.
When Bertram arrived home, he headed straight for the refrigerator and got out some leftover organic waffles.

Then he took a shower, used the commode, and fell into bed exhausted.
In the morning, Jarret and Rebeca had breakfast and went outside to see to the bees and garden.
As soon as he got out of bed, Bertram headed to Mahlsberg in hopes of catching Malika at home. He ran into her on the way.
When he greeted her, they had hearts for one another. How romantic!

Then he lobbed a water balloon at her and the fight was on!

Bertram: How was your day? Did you get enough sleep?
Malika: I did sleep well. My day was really good. I took care of my siblings while my mother was off to town.
Bertram: How many siblings do you have?
Malika: Two. Two. My sister Teri just had her birthday and just school this week. Justina is the baby of the family. She crawls around and gets into everything! I have to watch her like a hawk.
Bertram: It sounds like you enjoy your family.
Malika: Yes, my parents are wonderful, and my sisters are good most of the time.
Bertram: Would you like to watch the stars with me?
Malika: I would like that.
They sat on the grass side by side and slid closer to one another. Bertram took her hand and squeezed it gently. Wait, who is that standing so close behind them?

Spencer Funke was not happy to see Bertram and Malika together. He has a strong dislike for both Malika and Bertram for some reason.

And then Topher Baker showed up showing his disapproval of Malika. Spencer and Topher left, so Bertram asked her to break up with Topher. Then Topher and Spencer returned, and when she agreed to break up with Topher, he ran off, clearly upset.
At this point, they decided to call it a night. Bertram was looking forward to going to the dance with Malika.
