What happened in your sims 3 game today?

The account at AHQ isn't necessarily the same account as here, as those are technically separate, like in my case. EA will try to match different accounts that run on the same email address during the transfer (you need to change your email here to match for that to happen). However, the AHQ account is the same account as you have in the game itself, even though the account names don't necessarily have to match in that case, either.

I tried to remember which game it was that had me make an account with EA. It cannot be The Sims3, as I only bought that game in 2013, and my account is from 2011. The EA App is no help here, as it recently forgot everything that isn't rather new.
