Rflong,saves are always an added bonus with any world.
Tangie,I started a new game today in Evansdale.The world was blank(no save file)and I did see a wild horse.The game I am playing in Spooky Town came populated so I figured any strays were already there.I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a stray dog or cat in game.
