- I feel the best video game platform for a game like The Sims is the way it started out...on PC. Because it allows a much needed depth to the gameplay mechanics to best simulate life than being limited by what video game consoles/mobiles/handhelds can achieve. PC gaming was always in the lead when it came to graphics and pushing the limits of what could be done.
Not that consoles can't do the same but then that would defeat the whole purpose to make affordable gaming to everyone else not enthusiastically into gaming on PC. Though that's not to say I don't enjoy "spin-offs" on other platforms. I like Urbz: Sims in the City, The Sims/The Sims Bustin' Out/The Sims 2 Castaway (PS2). - NikkeiSimmerRising AdventurerPC here. I tried the Xbox 360 version before and it just drove me up the wall, across the ceiling; down the other side and halfway back across the floor. I couldn't get the controls on the game pad and made me nearly throw the gamepad out the nearest window. It wasn't worth it. The PC controls are a lot more intuitive with the mouse and keyboard interface.
- I mean, it would be mac, but we all know how that went.
So now I've settled for playing on the Windows side of of my Bootcamped laptop, and it's almost as good (that is, until I quit and see the desktop screen again). Given how much I hate change and react badly to things not working how I expect them to, I can't imagine that I'd be able to enjoy the console version. - Rflong7New VanguardI never tried TS3 on any other gaming platform. :)
I did play The Sims and The Sims 2 on one, I just don't remember which one. - IreneSwiftSeasoned NewcomerDefinitely PC. I tried it on Android once, when I got my first Android tablet that would support it, but I could not get it to work right. In the tutorial, it said to tap on a second sim to get the active sim to interact with them, but instead it selected the second sim when I tapped on them. And there were no instructions anywhere that I could find to help me figure out what to do to make it work. So I uninstalled it the same day I installed it.
- I play my TS3 on PC. I do have a Sims game for my PS2 but haven't really gotten around to play it as I don't have another memory card to save the game and I refuse to delete saves of other games that I have on it. I do have The Sims Freeplay on my Nook but haven't been playing it.

If you have Bustin Out you better get a memory card :# I love that game and still play it.Just really like the characters <3 Mimi 4 lyfe- cocokaylaSeasoned TravelerThe thing that consoles did great with The Sims was creating goal based gameplay, like in the Urbz, Bustin' Out, TS2 and TS2 Castaway (I haven't played any of the recent ones). But as soon as you got into free play mode then it became boring and restrictive. That's why PC will always be the best.
- Bettyboop55New SpectatorPC for me, nothing else compares. I think a lot depends on the kind of gameplay you are after and I love building most.
- I would have to say PC. I've played Busting Out, Urbz and Castaway on Playstation. They were fun but not as flexible and the loading screen for Urbz...Ugh!!! :s Longest loading screen ever! I would have loved a Castaway type EP for sims 3.
