0x00000000006E4AC1 error for The Sims 3

Hi, not sure I have to post this on Mac or PC because I'm running the sims 3 on windows 10 in bootcamp, on Imac. I apologize if I got the wrong section.

I have a bit of story about this. I had no problem to play my saved game yesterday morning time. I was using the Borderless Gaming for taking the good screenshots without other capture software in full screen resolution. But I noticed the fonts are a bit broken  in Borderless Gaming program. And thsn, I found I can add 'TS3W' application to Steam and I can get the nice screenshots without any other capture program. I ran the sims 3 on steam in full screen mode, but the main menu looked a lot darker like the screenshot image in full screen mode on disc mode as my patch version is 1.67.  So I just got back to the disc version, then my saved game keeps crashing while loading to Isla Paradiso. While loading to my town, I got this error alert.

Then I got this files in the sims 3 folder.

I captured this shots this morning time after trying to load once again.

Back to last evening, I opened a new Isla paradiso, and it worked perfectly. Only my saved family got this problem. I exit the Steam and restarted my computer, then re tried but still going on. I tried without Mods folder but still crashed in the freshly created the sims 3 folder. Fortunately, it has been about a week since moving to Isla from Monte Vista, I had my family in Library, Edit town mode. So I opened the new isla Paradiso and activated them. Now I don't have any issue with this newly started game but...I'd love to know why I got this issue ONLY for my saved game.. ☹️  I put whole Mods folder back in, and still have no problem with the fresh new game. I'd appreciate all helps. Thanks a lot.

Oh..I forgot to update my issue. Eventually, I fixed the both issue myself.

    1. DPI issue: I changed the display scale to 100% and DPI is set to 96.

The display resolution is set to 2560 1440 as usual.

Eventually, I got my crop tool mouse cursor is back to normal.

    2. I downloaded the AMD graphics driver which was updated very recently, it fixed broken fonts in the sims 3 issue.

Now the resolution is 2560 1440 in game, fonts looks nearly perfect on windowed mode. 🙂

I appreciate your ALL great helps and I won't forget this. Thank you so much.:D

OMG..Now I remember why my display setting was set to 149 instead of 150 percent.

A couple of days ago, I changed the display setting to recommended one as you suggested, then I got this photoshop 3 pointers glitch.

I had a look on google and found the solution.

Yes I remember now. Now I have to choose one. For getting back the default mouse cursor in photoshop element, I need to go back to 149, or I need to use this glitched cursor if I run the sims 3 on recommended display settings. ☹️ if I go back to 149 percentage, then the DPI setting will get back to 143 as well.

@aodoherty  You could try setting both the system and user DPI to 143; that might help.  Or you could try 120 or 168 (125 or 175%).

I haven't forgotten about you, and I'm sorry I haven't followed up on the other issues.  Things kind of erupted on the Mac side and I got sidetracked with all the posts, plus my own preparations.  I'm still going to poke around more though; it's just taking a bit more time.

@aodoherty  I'm glad to hear setting DPI to 96, with some other tweaks, fixed the issue.  I've always had mine at 144 without a problem, but then I don't have other software that might not cooperate.  It's good to know that the updated AMD driver is helping too.  Thanks for letting me know.
