1.42 Base Patch for Mac
So I used the instructions found here, http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/549552.page I downloaded the right one, installed it after extracting and it didnt work My version in the launche...

I downloaded a few houses and cars from the website, and it said installed to game. The laucher shows its installed, the 1.42 update should make it show up in the game but it still isnnt
I've also bought things from the sims 3 store and cant use it

It still didnt work :/
A few things to note,- I do not have a DCBackup folder
- When I install content in the launcher in the downloads tab, the "installed content" tab shows a circle with an exclamition point in it after it says the content was successfully intstalled, but when I click on the installed content tab it goes away. Maybe thats a problem indication?

Ok. Weird. I do not think that Macs are different then PCs so you should have that folder.
Can you hover over the icon before it goes away to see if it gives any further info ?
