Package files not showing up

Hi, I'm new to Sims 3 and I've been trying to get my Package cc to show up but nothing works, I've literally done everything, deleting cache, putting package in mods folder, sims3pack in downloads, etc. And still nothing, the no intro mod didn't work either. I've redownloaded Resource.cfg (from modthesims) multiple times and placed it into the mods folder, cc still doesn't show up. I'm using the 64bit version and my games version is 1.70, I'm playing on mac m2. I've also downloaded the Ui fix for mac and that worked perfectly fine, so does my sims3pack cc. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong and I'm so desperate for help.

  • l4zsowu48t12  Any .package file needs to go into ...The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages, with a Resource.cfg file directly inside Mods (not in Packages).  And both the Mods and Packages folder names need to be capitalized, exactly as I've written.  Please make sure you've done all of this.

If that's not the issue, please post a screenshot of the contents of the Packages folder so I can take a look.  Please also right-click one of the files inside and select Get Info, then post the file path you see in the pop-up, under Where.  You can write [username] instead of your actual username if you want.

Hey, i deleted and redid the mods folder with the resource.cfg from modthesims and that worked for me, the package files showed up in game but for some reason my ui fix mod didn't work anymore. Was the mod conflicting with my package files? And how can i fix it so that both package files and ui fix show up? Thanks for the reply by the way :)

  • l4zsowu48t12  Could you link the UI fix for me please?  I'd like to look over its install instructions, and I can also test it on my Mac to see whether it works with my other mods.

  • l4zsowu48t12  This is the key part of the instructions, I think:

Because of this, the script should be run again when core mods and mods that affect the UI are added or removed from your installation of the game.

So delete the tiny-ui-fix.package you have, and rerun the command to generate a new file.

I don't know whether the custom content that's working for you now has any effect on this mod, and it doesn't seem like it should given the description, but then I don't know what you've installed or how sensitive the file is.  And it's an easy test.

Please also delete the five cache files in your user folder again.
