4GB computer memory enough for Sims 3 and 4 expansion packs

So I'm looking to buy a new computer, and I was wondering if 4GB of memory would be enough. I have the Sims 3 and 4 expansion packs, so will it be able to run it without be super slow? If not how man...

I would look into 6-8 GB. You won't need more than that.

The game itself cannot use more than 4 but the operating system and background programs need RAM as well.

Make sure your new computer has a full graphic card in there and not a chip.
