You want x64, as in 64 bit. A 32-bit OS can only address (use) 4 GB RAM at a time, whereas 64-bit will use all 8 GB you have installed. By the way, macOS has been 64-bit only for a decade, and your computer has handled that just fine.

And asking questions beforehand is always better than guessing.
