Apple Intel Iris Pro

Last week, I purchased an iMac. Never did I think that The Sims 3 would not run on it. Turns out, I was wrong. The iMac comes with an Intel Iris Pro graphics card that is clearly not compatiable with the game, as it constantly crashes and barely runs in low settings.

The lack of support Mac users have received is unacceptable. Because The Sims 4 still has not been released for Mac users, EA should be offering patches for The Sims 3.

If anyone knows of a way to run The SIms 3 with an Intel Iris Pro grahpics card, assistance would be much appreciated!

    Hi

It's true - the Iris cards don't work well with the game, unfortunately. There is a thread over at the TheSims website where we tried to collect information about this and on page 2 someone suggested a workaround that worked for them but doens't seem to work for everybody. However you might as well try it. Here is the thread: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/735231/intel-iris-pro-graphics-cards-please-post-here-if-you-have-a-macbook-with-intel-iris-pro-card/p1

    Fingers crossed for you.
