I've been looking into two more issues:
Cloth that is categorized for teens and up. In case of cloth and shoes that is not a good thing either. Most of the time it's pretty subtle and can hardly be seen but the ankles, heads and waist are cut most of the time. There is a fine line there for the teens. Female teens also have bigger breasts when wearing an adult shirt.
Unfortunately there seem to be many many of those out there that I would list them but if you need to to find a download like that in your launcher, I'm happy to help find it. I'm thinking about posting instructions on how to find out if anyone is interested in those. It involves three tools from MTS.
Second issue I've been looking into are custom skins suddenly getting into peoples games. Non-Default skin tones (NDST) only come in package files so it seemed strange why people would get them. I found that they are actually packed inside the Sim package file. You wont' see this in Custard and the Sim that came with the skin needs to be uninstalled to get rid of the skin. If you use it in one of your sims, you will spread it further without ever having had the corresponding package file. If you remove the sim that had the skin and you've been using the skin tone on other sim, all those sims will suddenly be pitch black.
So, if you ARE using Non-default custom skins and Rez Delnava's UI Mod--CAS Basics--See Your Non-Default Skintones it is very important that you change the skin tone to a EA one BEFORE you share.
I was not able to install those sim3packs the usual way. I had to copy them into the downloads folder and install from there. Don't do that for if a sim needs to be installed this way, it is likely that something is wrong with it.
I also found that hair and facial hair also seems to do that. You will suddenly get custom hair with the little folder icon without having the actual package file. Getting rid of the Sim also gets rid of the hair as well.
I've not found out yet what hair is doing this and if it's all hair. If it has something to do with the new way of putting in package files and I don't have the time to investigate this problem further ATM.
It also seems that if you use store hair in a sim, you won't be able to install the sim at all. Don't know what's up with that either.
