I bought Barnacle Bay some time ago, installed it on an old computer. That computer has since been trashed. And i just recently decided to install the sims on my new computer. I go to install this one which doesnt come with a disc, and i redeem the code it says its already been redeemed. How do i go about retrieving this world?
log into your the sims 3 account go to my store account-purchase history download your world from there then install it
thanks for the help, now it seems i have run into a bigger problem. As now i cannot get the game to launch. I have uninstalled all of the expansions as well as the main game. I have Reinstalled Sims 3 base game and it will not load past clicking on the PLAY button on the launcher. I have tried the bypassing the launcher trick to no avail, as well as DEP mode. I since uninstalled, and Re installed again and have updated 10 where it says my current game is up to date. I am using Windows 8, and my techie friend says this PC has more then ample space to play a game such as the sims (im a bit of a dummy so i cant give you exact specs without someone telling me how ot get to a page that tells me that) Also the PC was suppose to be a gaming pc, lower mid range one but one none the less they said.. So if anyone could help me shed a little light onto this subject id appreciate it

win 8 have you tried right click the game base game icon run as admin and compatibility mode run this program windows XP service pack 3 tick apply tick ok restart the computer make sure your antivirus/firwall is not blocking the connections
and if you have BitDefender for your anti/virus Please try the following to turn off bitDefender (credits to Kiaori)
Open bitdefender
Go to settings
Open Antivirus
Go to the tab Shield
You will see Active Virus Management and to the right of that you will see on/off.
Put that off

if you hve orign on the computer too give that admin rights too
