I still have those games (with all the deleted EA Sims) and they are still playable! When I had a game problem, my son (who has "beat" every video game he's owned) would call EA, discuss the issue, and attempt the suggested solution. Most of the time the first "fix" worked, on rare occasions he would have to call back and discuss the problem further for another "fix." He's always been able to make the game work after getting advice from EA customer service. I'm not a gaming expert at all! I sit and cry out of frustration when it doesn't work (after I read extensively trying to find an answer, of course).
In Appoloosa Plains none of my items BOUGHT from the STORE here will work! I recently tried to install them with the launcher, but the launcher reported the installation "failed." Looks like I will not be able to play anything but a vanilla game from this point forward. I'm disappointed the store items will not work in the Pets Game (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!) :(
You would think EA could HIRE some of the experts on this site to make better hair for all ages of SIMS and pay them handsomely. I'm not complaining (much,lol) ... I LOVE THIS GAME ... but the EA hair could be better, evidenced by "hair" being the FIRST item new players (including me) want as CC in their game! Regardless of hair, I think this is the BEST GAME ever invented for those of us who do not like war, fighting, blood, and guts on our monitors. :)
