So it should be safe to play the whole Matthew Hanmming, brother, BFF in another world, just fetch him from my studio, once I've placed him, delete from library. Got it. I just knew banking to studio was a good thing!!
I actually came up to tell you this revolutionary method I just discovered to 'sort' the town I am in!
VanessaVenner uploaded her Genie, Ginny to her studio, + suggested I d/load her to get the Genie Magician badge. Got to tell you I really didn't like my own Genie before I lost my games! Apart from Ginny's voice , can play with her. What I did discover, is when you 'enscorcle' a sim, they are to all intents and purposes part of your family for the duration. Mmmm, opened up all sorts of possibilities. Said Ginny is highly skilled, but has little cash, but...for the purposes of sorting the hood I broke my cardinal rule of no cheats, and have been sorting the whole of SSV. ie. Jack Bunch is a Squad. leader, but his lifetime wish is Superstar Athlete. I was 'magically cleaning them'. Then I thought of the cheat for make needs static, so used that. All the enscorcled sims of course got that as well. Was able to upgrade their cars, give them the multitab and skill books, get them to change to jobs they want, and was even able to give them 'no bills' + steel bladder etc. The Ginny Geni is a 3 star celeb, so if they made friends with her I could track them with the map to the stars if I choose to.
Ginny is also able to tutor them in skills, and of course if it is time for them to go to work, I can chose the work hard option.
This of course opens the way to have a hood that is marginally 'sorted' with out imports.
A definite 'must' if I am to enjoy playing it. Just thought to share it in case anyone else wants to go that route.
Reg, is it 'allowed' for you to give me the name of a specific City world that would be safe for me?
I went the route of d/ling a world supposedly ok, as it was a team build, I do think the 'head' builder was not aware of some things. It cost over 1,900 sim points in objects, but I did it to get the world right as a courtesy to the creators, felt to do justice to their work I should do it. It had all the routing probs discussed here, spawner issues and def had cc altho it claimed not to.
I know because after the d/l I found the stuff in CAS.
Considering that I thought I pretty much owned everything in the store I didn't even think of not using the add all button! Won't do that again. lol
