Zeek the garden center works fine for me and I have the patch and ep - but as the other simmer said the watering is random. Most of the time I have to click one of the sprinklers and then it comes on. The compost bin will still do compost but again not automatically. I put the 3 sunshines in there, then hit the _ Use compost button for it to work. So the automatic functions seem to have been unset. That is the only thing I have seen off with it.
Also I have not had any additional lag in any worlds by adding Grandpa's Grove. I have it as well as the version Amjoie made in 4 different worlds with no issues in any of the worlds. 2 are user made by Rflong as I am also testing those two worlds and the other two are Moonlight Falls and Dragon Valley - so far. Grims Manor works good every where also. The new Bistro with the chefs oven works good, as does all the Uni PC type stuff like bowling alleys, the barrister bakery bar. The Dance Venue, the Open Market, the Casino, the Arcade, Haunted Library, Fountain of Youth, Spellbook (actually all magical PC works well and has their animations), the new Movie Theater - are all Iitems I am playing without issues in the 4 worlds I mentioned.
I do have the Learning center, the baby pen and walker, LL, and the Tree of Prosperity not added to my game - this testing has been with a totally reset Sims 3 folder, with all the store content reinstalled - all new games, no previous saves, and reinstalled all my own studio stuff and sims. So no saved anything - all new - and I did not this time install those things. IP is unplayable. I did try all the ep worlds briefly to see if any lag with the farm added to each ep world and saw no unusual lag. Have not tried the store worlds but Dragon Valley yet. So I am not seeing any issue with it in a new game start in Riverview. I only played each world about 20 minutes using the EA made Prius family with the mom and dad and 2 kids.
Hope that helps in your search for answers.
Please remove the AS toddler gates from my Grandpa's Grove REDO lot (one in the entry and two going into the children's room), and replace them with regular doors. Eventually, although it takes quite a while, that toddler gate (Kinder Keep Away) will lag the game so bad that you won't be able to turn the lot, zoom in or out, or move from one side of the screen to the other. It is game-stopping.
But once the AS toddler gate is removed, and the corrected lot is subsequently binned and replaces the lagging lot, the lag goes away -- even with the same exact world and sims living in it. It took me days of troubleshooting to finally narrow it down to that toddler gate.
So, that means all the PC from AS is broken by the patch.
I do think, though, that the problems are cumulative. I didn't have the problem manifest in Moonlight Falls until I redid the world with all my own lots. And many of the houses I put in the world had that toddler gate in them. Even though they were not being played, they were still in the world. And I think it all affected what happened with the use of the toddler gate in my playable home.
Next I will be going into each house and removing the toddler gate, because it is likely a bomb ready to go off. If my sims visit those homes, then then toddler gate may possibly again trigger an affect on the game. So I'm removing all of them.
I really don't want to have to uninstall AS, because I want to use the refrigerator and some of the other objects, if I can. I think just removing the PC will be enough, at this point.
However, seeing the way this is all starting to lay out, it seems the patch changed something fundamental about how the game interacts with itself, that is breaking more than one PC item. I don't trust even the ones that seem to be working. Especially since it takes so long for the problems to finally manifest.
It simply has to be fixed. Too much is on the line, here. One item I could see removing -- but now having to be suspect of all pre-patch PC is jeopardizing my investment in this game. Not to mention causing me angst. Days of troubleshooting is not something I want to repeat time and again, for each new lot I build.
I'm in a quandary what to do about my lots on the exchange. I could upload a corrected version of my Grandpa's Grove REDO, but what else is going to break, next? I already have more than one lot with that LL crystal tree on it. Half of me just wants to throw in the towel and delete all my lots, at this point. The other half wants to wait for the fix, because EA cannot possibly ignore this issue.
I'm so torn. I quit making beautiful CC because I wanted my things to be safe in everyone's game, and CC had gotten dangerous. Now it seems even my creations with only store items in them has become dangerous. I'm so ... weary and ... I just wish they'd fix it. I want to be able to share without fear.
A game is supposed to be fun. This isn't fun for me, right now. Not fun at all. They can't keep giving with one hand, and taking back with the other. It isn't right or just. Especially since we paid for these things.
