Maybe it's because you put the tractor indoors?

Try it outside and see if the same thing happens again. Same testing scenario too, please. One without mods, one with.

EDIT: And it looks like the The Not So Routine Machine broke on me. Maybe it's because I'm playing in Bridgeport, still, but who knows.
