I’m really new to playing games on my laptop (windows 11) since i’m usually a console player. I bought the ea member thing through steam so I could play sims 3 for a month but I can’t figure out how to get the game to open. I downloaded it through Steam but it opens the launcher and then when I press play, nothing happens.
I’ve linked my steam and EA account but nothing has changed. Please help.
aleeshaebony13 Does your computer have an Intel processor, specifically 12th-gen or newer? If so, you probably have this issue:

The problem was fixed for EA App installs but not for Steam. But the workarounds are simple enough. Apply the one of your choice to TS3W.exe, with the W, since that's the executable Steam uses.
If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
