I just read the post about the tractor. I strongly disagree that the problem is caused by a conflict between the gatherer trait and the money tree. As I said previously I only get the problem with one sim and that sim does not have the gatherer trait. I tested it for days and every time I thought I found an explanation I was proved wrong.
However if you want to dismiss the issue then it is up to you. I was simply trying to highlight an issue in this thread because it had been noticed by someone who might be able to find the problem and do something about it.
Edit. Of all the times I've experienced this bug only once did the tractor end up in the garden. Every other time it was deleted from the game and I had to buy another tractor. Which would be deleted next time that sim used it and I'd buy another tractor and so on.
