Buying Sims 3 through steam, only for Windows PCs.
Yesterday, I had bought the Sims 3 game for a friend; who has a mac, and sent it to her through steam. She got back to me this morning and told me it wont work on her computer due to it isent compatible with her mac. I thought Sims 3 could be played on any PC or Mac; i was confused when this had poped up, so i looked back and noticed i had bought the windows only version, but they had no other version for macs at all. So im not sure what to do in order to get her a Mac compatible one, after hopefully seeing if i can get a refund from steam.

the sims 3 are for PC and MAC, was it bought in steam for them via the steam gifting ? if you gifted them through steam then need a steam account too , don't quote me BUT i think the steam versions are PC only
probably what they can try is get the steam code download the mac version of origin and redeem the code there to their account then download using the i button
