It’s my first time encountering this bug. My sim can’t use mirrors, my cat can’t use the cat dancer toy. Basically I can’t use anything that’s mounted on a wall. The sim or the cat goes outside when I try to make them use these objects.
This is happening to me but only on one specific wall , I have tried moving lot resetting it and reloading game . Dont understand why. Only thing left to try is to move neighborhood
Ok i have packaged my house to the lot bin and moved neighborhood from the one i was playing which was Roaring Heights to Sunset Valley. Placed the lot and everything works perfectly. My daughter was also playing in Roaring Heights and experiencing the exact same problem on the same wall.
@archaicvampire and @tarasirtis I've had this happen occasionally with new houses I build, usually after I move sims to the lot. The first indication is always that I hang an object on the wall, for example a certificate for reaching level ten in a skill, and it disappears. The issue doesn't seem tied to the lot itself, or the world: if I quit without saving and try again, the walls work fine.
So I don't think it's necessary to start a new save or anything that drastic. At worst, you could save the lot to your in-game library, evict your sims, bulldoze the lot, replace it with its library copy, and move the sims back in. If you did this in one Edit Town session, without saving your sims to the bin and replacing them with their library copy, they'd keep their jobs and relationships, although they would lose their promised wishes and opportunities.
