Cannot get lifeguard profession
I am unable to become a lifeguard in order to unlock Cay island. I have retired from my current profession. I frequently check city hall, the computer and newspaper for the job to become available...

That link states I have to be logged into veiw but I am logged in.
In general Island Paradise has a lot of bugs. read Crinrict's suggestions in below post. Trying to eliminate some of the bugs may help your game
SOLVED!: You will need the Master Controller Mod. Select the sim you wish to make a lifeguard so they are your ‘active sim’. Go to town hall, nrass, master controller, sim, intermediate, career, choose job, select career again and active sim, then you can select lifeguard, or any career you want to.
