Cannot Place A Lot In Edit Town Mode

Try one of EA's worlds as Crinrict suggested. The Create-A-World tool is beta meaning it's still in development. So there is a chance that your world may be the culprit. Using an EA world will help you and us figure out what the problem is and how to go about fixing it.
O - k. I'll try one of theirs and see what happens.
I've figured it out!!!! When you click on the lot you want to place it should come up with the name and then underneath in brackets what type of lot it is (for example big park, hangout, art gallery.)
You then change the empty lot to the same type of lot as the one you want to place, it should then work! Sorry if it seems confusing 🙂
