Cannot Redeem the Sims 3 Store Purchase

I am writing on this forum as a last resort after EA have been unable to help.
I purchased “The Sims 3 Roaring Heights Gold” on 26th Nov 2023 from the EA store, but was unable to redeem the game on theSimsStore website because of this error:
“The code you entered has already been used. Please check the code entered and try again. If you continue to receive this error it may be that the code has already been applied. If you need further assistance, please go to Contact Us”.
I was told by EA that it was a known issue and that they were looking into it. On the 20th Jan 2024 I was still waiting for an update from EA and a fix had not being found, so I requested a refund. That request was not fulfilled. For 4 months have now passed, I have raised numerous tickets to either request a refund or a resolution but have had no success. My tickets get closed or ignored and customer support refuses to issue a refund.
Could you please help?
