PurpleSweetTart Please post the links you're clicking that lead to that error, for reference.
I got far enough with this link:
https://www.ea.com/en/games/the-sims/the-sims-medieval
for the site to ask for my credit card information. I own all Sims 3 packs and worlds that are still for sale, so I can't take those as far, but googling "buy Sims 3 [content]" gives me links that work, for example:

puzzlezaddictHi, this is the address of Medieval's bad link: http://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims/the-sims-medieval. was it because the /en after EA? You can see a little bit of the red screen error so you know that I got it from the same screenshot I took last night. I thought, at first that the site was crashing because everyone was trying to get 1+2 but when it also did it with 3 and all of 3's DLC, I knew something wasn't right.
this link: https://ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-3 was not working last night as of 6:13 p.m. last night but is now functional? I'm really confused. you get brought to 4 if you type this: http://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims/ and I thought it would take me to the page with all of the games listed in squares like I saw last night when I when I was trying to buy 3's DLC. And if I was less frustrated last night, I would have taken a screenshot of that, too. How would we know to do the /buy/addon part? I did not have a clue about that, they should make that clearer, so thank you so much. I usually don't buy straight from the website but this is a just out of the box brand new computer and I have yet to install the EA app. I have to install other things before I do that to calculate available space left for our fav Franchise. I've estimated the entire Franchise to take 1 TB and 9 GB with everything. If I have miscalculated that, please correct me because I have a severe math learning disability, but my counselor told me to try and figure it out. Do I need the EA app to figure out which of 3's DLC I don't have? I know I had some, but in the EA App it only shows 3 basegame, if it was detecting packs, wouldn't the packs pictures be next to it? Can someone please post a pic of their game library so I can see what it looks like when all of the DLC is installed?
I know I bought Pets, Ambitions, the paranormal pack, World Adventures and a few others, I know for a fact that I do not have Into the Future. Perhaps they are long gone on an old account, that I cannot remember.
"Worlds that are still for sale" why would all of the world's not be for sale if the rest of the DLC and Medieval are? That's very counterintuitive. EA loves money, why would they not sell us everything for 3? Many people swear by 3 and never play 4. I just have this itch to play 3 for some reason now that 1+2 are out.
Anyway, thanks guys for the help, I really appreciate all of you.
