Can't Connect To EADM/Origin - EVEN AFTER MANUAL PATCH
So I decided to download and play The Sims 3 today after a long hiatus. So I go on Origin, update it, download The Sims 3, and start downloading the DLC/Expansions.
Ambitions tells me I gotta update The Sims 3, so I go ahead and try, tells me I can't connect to the EA Download Manager. After ten minutes of looking online, I see I have to manually patch it. Alright, I manually patched it to 1.67. Now when I try to check for updates (just to verify), it STILL tells me it can't connect to the EA Download Manager.
Can someone enlighten me please as to why this is happening?
EDITED: It now says "Can't connect to Origin" instead of EADM, so I guess that's an improvement, but the problem itself still stands.
Nope. Game plays fine, to be honest. It's just a matter of updating the game (should it need to be updated). I just don't want to have to manually update it via the forums' manual patch download links. It would have been nicer to update it from the launcher.
EDIT: Uhhhhh.....I think it just fixed itself....? I think it's Origin's newest update (about a minute ago as of writing this). I'll need to verify this later tonight.
