Can't Connect To EADM/Origin - EVEN AFTER MANUAL PATCH

So I decided to download and play The Sims 3 today after a long hiatus. So I go on Origin, update it, download The Sims 3, and start downloading the DLC/Expansions. Ambitions tells me I gotta update...

    Nope. Game plays fine, to be honest. It's just a matter of updating the game (should it need to be updated). I just don't want to have to manually update it via the forums' manual patch download links. It would have been nicer to update it from the launcher.

    EDIT: Uhhhhh.....I think it just fixed itself....? I think it's Origin's newest update (about a minute ago as of writing this). I'll need to verify this later tonight.

Well I hope it did but I think it's pretty safe to say, that you won't need to update ever again unless you reinstall. I don't think we'll get another patch for this game.

Could you accept a solution if it really did fix itself ?
