Can't connect!!

I can't get my Origin to connect to the Internet. When I try to install this game, I get a login error that says that I must be on line when logging in for the first time. I am online. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Make sure you have Proxies turned off. Control Panel --> Internet Options --> Connections --> LAN Settings --> Untick Proxy Server

Did what you suggested. Origin updated and then I got the same error again. I have it as an allowed app in my firewall, tried disabling firewall, same result every time. Any other suggestions?
