@volkypr It's worth trying. The last time this problem surfaced was two years ago, and it showed up in macOS before migrating to Windows. This workaround helped most people sooner or later, although it was often not enough to simply enable auto updates and quit and reopen Origin. That's where clearing the cache comes in.
If it doesn't work though, I'll flag the issue and see if there's anything else that can be done. If you'd like to experiment a bit more yourself, you can clear Origin's cache and uninstall "the hard way."

When you reinstall, uncheck ALL the boxes offered on the setup screen, everything from enabling auto updates to sharing hardware info. Then enable auto updates, quit Origin, and reopen it.
By any chance do you know if Origin does scheduled updates or some form of maintenance so that I can know when to check?

@volkypr Origin updates when it feels like it, or at least it seems that way. I think it's about once a week, but I've never really paid close attention, to be honest. If I hear anything about this issue potentially being addressed in an update, I'll post here to let you know.

@volkypr Could you try creating an Origin error report? An EA employee is looking for reports (and report IDs) from affected players:
You can post in that thread if you want and tag SimQA Robo.
