grrriliketigers Did you ever register the base game code with EA, either in the EA App or Origin or on the old Sims 3 website? If so, that's why the code has already been used. In that case, you can simply sign into the EA App with whichever account you used at the time, and your content should be available to download from your game library.
If these discs originally belonged to someone else, however, it's very possible they registered the codes, in which case you won't be able to use them. You could still install via disc if you had a disc drive, and your base game disc was old enough (manufactured prior to September 2012), but registering the codes a second time isn't possible, nor is transferring them to a different account.
