Can't Install Game on EA App

I have the Sims 3 base game and five expansion packs that are on CD. I originally had the game installed on a Windows 7 HP laptop. In order to install the Sims 3 on my EA app, I uninstalled the base game and the expansion packs from the laptop and also cleared all the custom content and saves. 

Now I am trying to install the game that I own, that is no longer installed on any other machine or app, and I am still getting the error code "This code has already been redeemed." 

Please help me troubleshoot adding the game that I own to the EA app.

    grrriliketigers​  Did you ever register the base game code with EA, either in the EA App or Origin or on the old Sims 3 website?  If so, that's why the code has already been used.  In that case, you can simply sign into the EA App with whichever account you used at the time, and your content should be available to download from your game library.

    If these discs originally belonged to someone else, however, it's very possible they registered the codes, in which case you won't be able to use them.  You could still install via disc if you had a disc drive, and your base game disc was old enough (manufactured prior to September 2012), but registering the codes a second time isn't possible, nor is transferring them to a different account.
