Can't play my game

Hey there. I redeemed a code for the Sims 3 game for my EA app account. It gave me Late Night and Supernatural for free. I enjoyed the game so much that I purchased the Pets DLC so my Sim could have a pet of her own. I have played for 7 hours and 45 minutes of Sims 3 already, I could log into Sims 3 just fine yesterday.

But I've been getting hacked so many times the last few weeks that my aunt put me on her VPN plan. EA and Sims 3 Launcher are both excluded from the VPN so that I can still launch/play the game. But even though I could play just fine yesterday, now Sims 3 says my email and password are both incorrect.

I can play Sims 3 but the EA app doesn't say it's in the My Games section even though it's installed on this account and I have almost 8 hours of game time on Sims 3. How do I fix this issue? I would really like to play the game that I clearly own. 😭

    iceberrydreams​  The EA App doesn't always get along with VPNs.  I would suggest temporarily disabling yours just to see whether that's the issue, because if it is, there may not be anything you can do other than trying a different VPN, or going without and adding other protections.  As long as you don't do anything else while testing, and your computer isn't already infected with malware, you should be safe.

    As someone who isn't good at knowing computers and anything more than just updating it when Windows has an update, how would I find out if there's malware? Do I run, like, a full scan or something?

    Edit: I have asked my nerdy brother for help and he ran a scan, there seems to be nothing wrong so I will only turn off the VPN to play Sims 3 and then turn it back on when I'm done with the game. 💚
