Can't play sims 3 on iPhone

I recently downloaded the sims 3 on my iPhone & I can't even play it. It comes up with the main menu but when I click play it just doesn't do anything! Very annoying, is there anything I can do?!

If you read the most recent reviews on the App Store you'll see that something went wrong and the game is currently broken for iOS. It was last updated on the 2nd June and it looks like no one has managed to play it since the update ☹️
