You can't redeem already used codes. EA is not really very selling-your-game friendly.
Can you install the disc without having to register (it depends a bit how old the game disc is in order to do that. Disc bought before Sept 2011 don't require origin so you should be able to install those (just not register) but afterwards, I think you need to register the game to your Origin acocunt in order to even play the game.
I would try returning the disc to the seller and tell them that you can't play or ask customer support if there's anything they can do for you.
