Can't see the city on sims 3
Hello, I am playing sim3 on a window computer and I can't see the city in the game. There is this fog that is covering the city and it's not fog outside. I can't click on the buildings or see them. ...
@Grad2006 Please go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 and move Options.ini to the desktop. This will revert all your in-game settings to defaults. Don't change any graphics settings; just load your save and let me know whether it helps.
If not, please let me know what kind of install this is: EA App, disc, Steam, or something else. You may need to repair your install, which is done differently depending on the type. Please also let me know whether you've tried to get your graphics card recognized or otherwise altered any of the game's program files.
I followed your instructions however it didn't work
I have an EA app
@Grad2006 Please clear the EA App's cache:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
and repair the game: open your App game library, click Sims 3, and select Manage > Repair. Delete Options.ini again, then load a new save and let me know how it looks. Don't make any other changes: not to graphics settings or the game's program files or anything else.
If this doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Please also post the first 40 or so lines (everything up to Options) of DeviceConfig.log, in the same Sims 3 folder as Options.ini. You can delete your user and computer names, about 20 lines down; there's no other personal information in that file. You can simply copy the info and paste it into a reply.
