Can't sell stuff in sims 3 store to get back sim points?

Hi, I wasn't sure where to go and look for answers (either I'm completely lost or lazy, who knows), so I came here.

In the past, I did redeem my games to get the 1000 sim points (3 games) and used them up to buy stuff. Little later down the road, and I can't remember specifically how, I had to get my sim points back so I sold my stuff back (I believe I tried to redeem the games but it didn't work since I did reinstall the games quite a bit). I then again bought stuff further down the road. Now, I still have the stuff I bought with sim points, but I want to sell some of them back, since I barely use some of them anymore. Here's the problem; I know I was able to sell back stuff in the past, but either I forgot how to do it or they just don't have that option anymore in the Sims 3 Store. Is it just me or they don't allow that anymore? Or I'm just blind as usual? Please answer back. Thank you.

  • Hi @BrieannEMiller, and welcome back to Answers HQ!

This is the right place to make this kind of questions 😉

However, there has never been an option to sell your The Sims 3 Store items to get back your SimPoints. Once you buy something with your SimPoints, it's yours and can't be returned. I'm not sure what happened here, and I'm sorry for the confusion, but no, there's no such option.

Let us know if you have any questions, or we can help with anything else,

  • Huh, I remember doing it before. Not sure if uninstalling then reinstalling did something to it, but this did happen a couple years back so things would most likely changed by then. If it did, probably no longer works. :/ Thank you though.

I do have one last question and I'm sure people have asked it, since, I am late in the game (I took a break for awhile). I noticed that barely any ads come up and you can get complimentary sim points. I guess they no longer do that? (Yes, I turned my ad blocker off and I still don't see them)
