Cat startled from lighting freezes

Are you sure you spelled the name right with the cheat ? Try if resetsim * unstucks the cat. That will reset all Sims in your town and if it also unstucks the cat, then something's up with the name (I think sometimes the cheat is confused about the name and things the last name of the cat is cat)
