@tanoo971 Try copying the .world file, in InstalledWorlds, into a clean Sims 3 folder, just that world but nothing else, and see whether the red shows up. If it doesn't, you can move your saves and other content into that new folder and continue playing.
I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand.

@tanoo971 Move the Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. Open the launcher to create a clean folder. Inside that new Sims 3 folder, create an InstalledWorlds folder (exactly that, just like in the old folder). Go into InstalledWorlds in the old Sims 3 folder, find the .world file with the name of the world you've been playing in, copy that file, and paste it into the InstalledWorlds folder in the new Sims 3 folder.
Launch the game, load a new save in the world you've been playing in, and see whether you have the same issue. If you don't, add one cc item to the new Sims 3 folder and see whether it turns red. Let me know how things turn out and we can go from there.
I'd also like to know which world you're playing in. Please don't link it unless it's on the Exchange (third-party download links aren't allowed on this site), just give me the world's name and the name of the site that hosts it.

Followed your instructions and put one cc in the game and the household is all red.
Waiting for your input.
Thanks again!

@tanoo971 Alright, just to make sure it's the world itself, please repeat the test, new Sims 3 folder included, but with a different cc item. Please also enable Advanced Rendering if you haven't already; it's with the othe graphics options. Change the setting at the Main Menu and quit to desktop before loading a save.
I'll download the world this evening and take a closer look as well.
