So Basically you want to change 'No Visitors Allowed' to 'Visitors Allowed'. To do that you go to the Options menu, then into Edit Town mode, then click onto the school, then click 'change lot type', and then scroll through the menu and changed it to 'visitors allowed' then go back onto live move and your child Sims should be able to go to school.

thank you for getting back in touch and helping 🙂 i can do all that apart from the edit part, where you go to place the new school there in the community part, there is no schools or anything, they've all disapeared :/ i have no idea how to get them back either.
Sorry if this is all confusing, i literally done nothing to the game, was playing it as normal then just yesterday the children didn't go to school so i wondered why i found this out. Thanks for your time 🙂
