Compatability

So, I have the Dell Inspiron 3135 3000 Series. I downloaded The Sims 3 and Sims Pets and have not been able to use them. I can open to the little box on your screen where you press play, and then I do and nothing happens. Is my laptop not compatble? I talked to you guys months ago and nobody could  help me and I havent really done anything about it since. Is there a possibility for a refund or a way to transfer the games to another laptop without paying another $40? Thanks,
