Crashing sims 3
Hi, I am trying to play the sims 3 on the EA app and when it starts up i can hear the music playing but the screen is black or frozen how to i fix my game
cococoa156 The dxdiag doesn't list any Windows errors, which is odd. But you can find the same information in the Reliability Monitor. Click Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to open Sims 3. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
You can do the same for your Sims 4 crashes, but first, see whether the game works if you remove the entire Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts. This will remove, but not delete, your saves and other user data, which is the point of the test. You can restore it later, but for now, just see whether the game works with none of that data present.
If the Sims 4 folder copies rather than moving, or you get an error when trying to move it, let me know.
