have you received any updates from EA regarding a future x64 patch for The Sims 3? I'm getting more and more concerned, especially now that we know there won't be a The Sims 5.
I tried The Sims 4 (again), and while the build mode is fantastic, the game itself is unbearable—I’m bored. There are so many bugs: Sims just stand there doing nothing and cancel actions, the children are annoying, and lots of little things make the gameplay frustrating. For example, having to pick up a trash can before throwing away the garbage— in TS3, you just click on the trash, and they do both in one action. And I really miss the open world, being able to go to the cinema, the restaurant, the cars… there’s just so much missing.
And now we’re stuck with this game that I don’t even like. ☹️
@yobsvhs, I completely agree. While I understand that EA may not have the resources or inclination to support older titles indefinitely, it's frustrating that The Sims 3, a beloved game with such a dedicated fanbase, has been left in this state for so long. Players who have invested in the game and its expansions deserve a better experience, especially given that the 64-bit update - introducing even more bugs - was released a few years ago. It isn't very reassuring to see EA neglecting its legacy titles and long-time fans in this way. Perhaps reaching out to original or current team members or the community once more might get some traction? If enough of us make noise, maybe EA will take notice and at least acknowledge the problems. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but...
