@yobsvhs, I completely agree. While I understand that EA may not have the resources or inclination to support older titles indefinitely, it's frustrating that The Sims 3, a beloved game with such a dedicated fanbase, has been left in this state for so long. Players who have invested in the game and its expansions deserve a better experience, especially given that the 64-bit update - introducing even more bugs - was released a few years ago. It isn't very reassuring to see EA neglecting its legacy titles and long-time fans in this way. Perhaps reaching out to original or current team members or the community once more might get some traction? If enough of us make noise, maybe EA will take notice and at least acknowledge the problems. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but...
@julijaforest Yes, we can always try, and we definitely should. Does anyone have an email address for EA support or the Twitter/X accounts of former SimGurus?

I wish you all a happy new year 🙌.
Except maybe for Electronic Arts? Perhaps 2025 will finally bring a little attention to our beloved Sims 3? A small update, or maybe even complete access to the Sims 3 source code?
It's nice to dream...
