When I try to launch the sims 3 game an error pops ups nd says its unable to start my game because the base game is incompatible with the current sims 3 expansion pack, but i downloaded the sims 3 base game by itself

@CheeringPenguins  Open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 and delete the file labeled Version.tag.
