[CURRENT ISSUE 64-bit] Cannot collect insects
My sims cannot collect any insects in Sims 3. This includes:
butterflies
beetles
fireflies
nanites

Hello,
I am using sims 3 on a Mac via origin. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and tried everything that I can but in Sims 3 I cannot collect bugs or butterflies. I can see them and the collection finder stills shows them however none of my sims are able to capture them. I have been playing for years so I know that I am not doing anything wrong. Please fix this or give me any advice that would help.
@emma7951 I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue. This has been a problem since the 64-bit version was released, and there's no proper fix available.
There are other ways to gether insects though. With Ambitions, your sims can use the harvester in the vicinity of an insect and collect it that way. If you don't have an inventor sim, you may be able to find a harvester at the consignment shop, and it's in BuyDebug as well. Additionally, Pets can be trained and sent off to gather insects.
