[CURRENT ISSUE 64-bit] Terrain paints not applying

The terrain paint tool does not seem to be useable. I can select the paint and click to apply but it does not stick:

Played around with graphics settings in-game but cannot currently find a workaround.

    the way this still hasn't been fixed by both ea or modders lolll
